A weekly Thursday-night Cultural Calendar launched in January 2010 with South Florida Afro-Latin funk band ¡Suénalo!, and kicked off an ongoing free culture series including under-the-stars screenings of new releases and the Classics, a performance calendar that will include alumni of acclaimed orchestral academy The New World Symphony, oceanfront opera and Shakespeare performances, up-and-coming local bands, Latin jazz sensation Nestor Torres.
